Elizabeth Bear – Tideline (2008)

Elizabeth Bear’s short story Tideline was originally published in Asimov’s Science Fiction magazine in March 2007. The version I listened to was in the 2008 anthology We, Robots, edited by Allan Kaster.

Tideline jointly won the 2008 Hugo Award for best short story and tells the story of a friendship between a child and a war robot.
