#NaNoWriMo diary – week three

Throughout the month of November, I’ll be writing my novel Wizard of the Wasteland as part of National Novel Writing Month.

I’m not quite up to where I would have hoped and am around 2,000 words behind owing to real life stuff getting in the way!

#NaNoWriMo diary – week one

Throughout the month of November, I’ll be writing my novel Wizard of the Wasteland as part of National Novel Writing Month.

I’ve written 15,000 words so far (it would have been 18,000, but I cut out the first two chapters to make sure my main character would meet the wizard within a few scenes).

I’m really pleased with how things are going. The prequel story Addict of the Wasteland is back from an editor, so I’m going to proofread it and get a cover together so I can release it for free as an ebook.

I’m all set for #NaNoWriMo

I’ve signed up for National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) to write my debut novel, Wizard of the Wasteland.

It is the first book in a post-apocalyptic series following the adventures of a reformed drug addict surviving in a hostile world. I’m thinking of it as being like The Road meets Breaking Bad.

The story is outline and ready to write. I’m really pleased with the plot and hope readers will enjoy it too.

I’ve written a prequel story called Addict of the Wasteland which I’ll make available as a free ebook very soon.
