Dragons, Swords & Dark Reads | Author Diary, June 12, 2026

This week: seven chapters drafted for RAF Dragon Corps Book 3, work begins on Five of Swords, The Prince and the Fool launches, and Orphan Farm Boy of Destiny is now free on Patreon.

This week, I’ve been making strong progress on RAF Dragon Corps Book 3, completing the first draft of the opening seven chapters.

The Battle of Britain is beginning to take shape, and I’m enjoying getting back into the world of dragon riders, aerial combat, and wartime Britain.

I’ve also started work on Five of Swords, continuing my return to The Ravenglass Chronicles.

On the reading front, I finished Kaiju: Battlefield Surgeon by Matt Dinniman. It’s an incredibly dark book, veering into horror at times, but I found it compelling from start to finish. I’ve now moved on to Dominion of Blades by the same author and am enjoying seeing a different side of his storytelling.

In publishing news, The Prince and the Fool is out today, marking the next chapter in the Ravenglass Legends saga. Also, my satirical fantasy novella Orphan Farm Boy of Destiny is now available free to followers on Patreon.

A busy week of writing, reading, and new releases!

Back to Dawn of Assassins, WrestleMania Letdown & New Release Incoming | Author Diary, April 24, 2026

Back working on Dawn of Assassins after years away, sharing thoughts on a disappointing WrestleMania, and gearing up for the launch of Ravenglass Legends Books 1–3. Plus updates on The Prince and the Fool.

This week I’ve returned to Dawn of Assassins after a few years away and made solid progress on the draft.

It’s been great getting back into that world and finding the story again.

I also share my thoughts on a disappointing WrestleMania, particularly from a storytelling perspective.

On the publishing side, Ravenglass Legends Books 1–3 are launching this Monday, and The Prince and the Fool is currently with my editor.

Lots happening behind the scenes!

😷 Writing Through Sickness & Book Launch Prep | Author Diary – August 22, 2025 🧟📚

Despite a throat infection, I made progress on The Sentinel’s Mercy, wrapped up The Silent Watcher, and prepared for the Punks Versus Zombies launch on August 31. Busy week for the Ravenglass Universe!

This week’s been a bit rough—I’ve been dealing with a throat infection that had me in bed for a few days.

Despite that, I made good progress on The Sentinel’s Mercy (Ravenglass Guardians, Book 2), reaching eight chapters out of a planned 24.

I’ve also finished my final readthrough of The Silent Watcher (Book 1 in the same series). Though I’m calling them Books 1 and 2 for now, the Ravenglass Guardians series will be seven standalone novels, so their final order may shift.

Meanwhile, I’m gearing up for the launch of Punks Versus Zombies on August 31—just a few weeks to go!

📦 Admin Week & Prepping Releases | Author Diary – May 16, 2025 📝✨

This week, I focused on admin tasks ahead of Severed Bonds (Ravenglass Throne Part 3) launching May 19, and the Patreon audio release of Book 4. Looking forward to getting back to writing soon!

This week’s been all about the behind-the-scenes work—the less glamorous side of being an author. I’ve been deep in admin, getting everything in place for the release of Severed Bonds (The Ravenglass Throne, Part Three) on May 19, and preparing the audio edition of Book 4 for my Patreon supporters.

It’s been a week of formatting, uploading, scheduling, and ticking boxes—but not much creative work. I’m itching to get back to actual writing and into the worlds that excite me.

Thanks for bearing with me during the admin grind—stories are coming soon!

🐉 Double Launch Week & A Passion Project Grows | Author Diary – April 18, 2025 📚✨

This week, I launched Wyvern’s Shadow and Blade of Sorrows, and began writing Ravenglass Legends Book 4—part of a newly planned seven-book passion project I’m excited to share with readers.

It’s been a big week!

I launched two new books:
🔥 Wyvern’s Shadow (The Ravenglass Throne, Book 2)
⚔️ Blade of Sorrows (Guild of Assassins, Book 3)

On top of that, I’ve started work on Book 4 of Ravenglass Legends.

I’ve made the decision to expand this into a seven-book series, with this fourth instalment serving as a mid-point in the larger story.

While it’s not my bestselling work, Ravenglass Legends remains my passion project—a world and cast of characters I care deeply about.

I’m writing it for the love of the story and hope readers will join me for the journey ahead.

🐉 Draft Complete! Launches Incoming & Staying Focused | Author Diary – March 21, 2025 📚✨

This week, I finished Dragon Squadron and shift focus to prepping three upcoming book launches: Wyvern’s Shadow, Forged in Blood, and Blade of Sorrows. Time to wrap up open projects!

This week, I wrapped up the draft of Dragon Squadron (RAF Dragon Corps), and I’m thrilled with how it’s turned out.

But with three book launches on the horizon—Wyvern’s Shadow (The Ravenglass Throne: Part Two), Forged in Blood, and Blade of Sorrows—my focus now shifts to prepping those releases.

In this episode, I reflect on the many open projects I’ve got on the go and the importance of staying focused rather than jumping into something new (no matter how tempting!).

It’s time to clear the decks before taking on the next big adventure.

🏰 Progress on The Ravenglass Throne & Launching The Knight and the Rebel | Author Diary – January 24, 2025 📚✨

I’m also thrilled to announce the launch of The Knight and the Rebel (Ravenglass Legends, Book 3). This new release is now available, and I can’t wait for readers to dive into this thrilling tale set in the Ravenglass Universe.
