This week I’ve nearly finished Two of Swords, with just three chapters left to draft.
I also share my thoughts on using Meta’s smart glasses and how they’re proving surprisingly useful for someone like me with a visual impairment.

Nearly finished Two of Swords! This week I talk writing progress and how Meta’s smart glasses are helping me navigate the world as a visually impaired author.

Despite a throat infection, I made progress on The Sentinel’s Mercy, wrapped up The Silent Watcher, and prepared for the Punks Versus Zombies launch on August 31. Busy week for the Ravenglass Universe!
This week’s been a bit rough—I’ve been dealing with a throat infection that had me in bed for a few days.
Despite that, I made good progress on The Sentinel’s Mercy (Ravenglass Guardians, Book 2), reaching eight chapters out of a planned 24.
I’ve also finished my final readthrough of The Silent Watcher (Book 1 in the same series). Though I’m calling them Books 1 and 2 for now, the Ravenglass Guardians series will be seven standalone novels, so their final order may shift.
Meanwhile, I’m gearing up for the launch of Punks Versus Zombies on August 31—just a few weeks to go!
This week was admin-heavy, but the highlight was seeing Nine Inch Nails live in Manchester. A powerful set filled with early tracks—and good news, my back held up! Hoping to dive back into writing soon.
This week was mostly spent on admin tasks—the essential but less exciting side of the author life. From scheduling to organising releases, it’s been a practical sort of week.
The highlight, though, was seeing Nine Inch Nails live in Manchester! It was an incredible show with a set packed full of early album tracks—intense, loud, and absolutely brilliant.
Best of all, my back held up, so I’m hoping that means I’m finally over the worst of it and can get back into the writing groove soon.
After taking last week off, I’m back at the writing desk and making great progress on The Prince and the Fool (Ravenglass Legends, Book 4).
I’ve just hit the mid-point of the book—and the series itself!
I’ll be sharing unedited chapters on Patreon over the next few weeks for those following along early.
This week, I also chat about reading Homecoming by Robin Hobb—a beautifully written book as always—and watching Baby Reindeer on Netflix, a dark but excellent drama that’s definitely stayed with me.
On a less fun note, I’ve been nursing a bad back, which means I’ve had to miss out on seeing one of my favourite bands, James.
Hoping to be back on my feet properly soon!
This week, I’ve been working on Dragon Squadron (RAF Dragon Corps)—what started as a novella is now a full novel! Plus, Shattered Kingdom is out now, and Forged in Blood is up for pre-order. Exciting times ahead! #FantasyBooks
This week, I’ve been deep in Dragon Squadron (RAF Dragon Corps), and what started as a novella has now evolved into a full novel!
I’m currently 16 chapters in out of 24, and the story is shaping up beautifully—I’m absolutely loving where it’s going.
In publishing news, Shattered Kingdom (The Ravenglass Throne: Part One) is now released, and Forged in Blood is officially up for pre-order!
It’s been a busy but exciting time, with lots of new stories heading your way.
Looking forward to pushing ahead with Dragon Squadron and getting these books into readers’ hands!
