I’m deep into the editing process for “Forged in Blood,” the second book in the Guild of Assassins series. This stage is crucial for bringing the polished version of the story to life.

📚 Revisiting “Scoundrels”:

After a year, I’ve returned to “Scoundrels,” a prequel to the Dawn of Assassins series. Diving back into this story is like reconnecting with an old friend and rediscovering their secrets. It’s fascinating to explore the backstory that sets the stage for the events and dynamics in the main series.

🎅 Writing “Santa Versus Zombies”:

In a lighter, more whimsical vein, I penned a short story titled “Santa Versus Zombies.” This festive, fun piece provided a great creative outlet, blending the cheer of the holiday season with the thrill of a zombie apocalypse. It was a delightful project that offered a humorous break from my more intense writing.

This week has been productive with the completion of three new episodes of “Punks Versus Zombies.” I am now approaching the final act of the series, a phase filled with anticipation and excitement as I aim to wrap up the story in a satisfying manner. It’s thrilling to see the end in sight, and I’m eager to bring a compelling conclusion to the fans of the series.

🥂 Celebrating 15 Years:
On a personal note, I celebrated my fifteenth wedding anniversary with my wife. It’s a significant milestone, and we took some time to appreciate the journey we’ve shared together, reflecting on the memories and looking forward to many more years.

🔄 Considering Platform Changes:
I also discuss my current concerns with the Ream platform. Despite enjoying the experience Ream offers to readers, recent issues with its senior management have raised doubts about the platform’s long-term viability. These developments have led me to consider switching to Patreon, a platform known for its stability and strong creator-supportive community. For now, I will continue to post on Ream as usual, but I am exploring all options to ensure the best experience for my readers and a sustainable model for my content.

It’s a pivotal moment that’s both challenging and thrilling, as it shapes the direction of the story and deepens the narrative layers.

🎸 Rediscovering Music: Alongside writing, I’ve been reconnecting with my musical side, playing music and writing songs. Returning to this creative outlet has been refreshing and invigorating, providing a wonderful balance to my literary endeavors. The joy of crafting melodies and lyrics reminds me of the interconnectedness of all creative expressions.

📺 & 📚 From Screen to Page: I’ve just finished watching “The Three-Body Problem” on Netflix and decided to revisit the novel by Cixin Liu. It’s fascinating to compare the visual and textual interpretations of such a complex story.

This week, I added another 20,000 words to “The Knight and the Rebel,” Ravenglass Legends book 3. This brings me two-thirds into Ragnar’s POV, pushing the story closer to completion. The writing has been flowing well, and I’m excited about the depth and development of the narrative.

🎥 Watching “The Gentlemen” on Netflix

I’ve started watching “The Gentlemen,” a new series by Guy Ritchie on Netflix. As a fan of Ritchie’s style, this crime caper series has been thoroughly enjoyable with its sharp dialogue and twisty plot lines. It’s been a fantastic watch that perfectly complements my downtime.

📚 Back to Warhammer 40k

I’ve revisited the Warhammer 40k universe, reading two Primarchs novels: ‘Vulkan’ and ‘Ferrus Manus.’ While ‘Vulkan’ didn’t quite hit the mark for me, ‘Ferrus Manus’ has been gripping so far. It’s always intriguing to explore the lore and characters of this expansive universe.

As I continue with the drafting of “The Knight and the Rebel” and enjoy some quality reading and viewing, I look forward to sharing more insights and updates next week.
