Exploring the Ravenglass Universe: A Realm of Fantasy and Magic

Discover the Ravenglass Universe: a realm of magic, epic sagas, elemental forces, and heroic journeys.

Hello from Morecambe!

Today, I invite you to journey with me as we explore the Ravenglass Universe – a rich, dynamic, and multifaceted fantasy realm where countless stories unfold, from the earliest days to the farthest reaches of the future.

The Essence of the Ravenglass Universe

At its heart, the Ravenglass Universe is a fantastical world, a canvas on which an array of stories are painted.

Here, imagination knows no bounds – from soaring wyverns in the sky to the mystical powers of a unique material known as ravenglass.

A World of Magic and Wonder

Magic is a vital thread in the fabric of the Ravenglass Universe.

It is a world where magic intertwines with reality, creating a landscape filled with wonder and peril.

The magic system is as diverse as it is intriguing:

  • Ravenglass: Central to our universe’s lore, ravenglass is a mystical material with properties that are both wondrous and enigmatic. It is the cornerstone of many magical feats and the source of much of the universe’s mysteries.
  • Elemental Magic: Harnessing the raw powers of nature, elemental magic is wielded by those who understand the deep connections to ravenglass
  • . Fire, water, earth, and air are not just parts of the world; they are forces to be summoned and controlled.
  • Mind Manipulation: In the darker corners of the Ravenglass Universe, some delve into the secrets of mind manipulation, a form of magic that blurs the lines between persuasion and control.
  • Parallel Worlds: The universe is not a singular plane; it encompasses numerous parallel worlds, each with its own secrets, dangers, and wonders.

Heroes and Antiheroes: The Soul of Our Stories

Our universe is inhabited by characters as complex and diverse as the world itself.

From flawed heroes to morally ambiguous antiheroes, each character brings their unique perspective to the narrative.

They navigate this magical world, sometimes as champions of their beliefs, other times as lost souls searching for redemption.

Epic Sagas and Intimate Tales

The range of stories within the Ravenglass Universe spans from grand, epic sagas that reshape the world to intimate, personal narratives that delve deep into the hearts and minds of individuals.

Whether it’s a tale of an empire in turmoil or a quiet story of a lone assassin, each story is a piece of the larger puzzle, contributing to the universe’s rich tapestry.

Adventures await!

The Ravenglass Universe is more than just a setting for fantasy tales; it is a living, breathing world where every story, every character, and every magical element is part of a larger narrative.

As the creator of this universe, I invite you to step into this world of endless possibilities, where the past and future intertwine, and magic is as real as the air we breathe.

Join me in exploring this universe of wonder, magic, and adventure.

Let’s uncover its secrets together.

Until our paths cross again in the Ravenglass Universe,

Jon

Jon’s Author Diary – August 7, 2023

Explore author adventures in Jersey, retro cinema nights, ‘Ravenglass Legends’ updates, Wattpad tales, and diving into the Horus Heresy series.

Hello from sunny Morecambe!

This week, I took a short break to Jersey. Yes, that’s right, I swapped my author’s den for a bit of beach-side brainstorming. Sun, sea, and scribbles…oh, and storms.

While escaping the rain, we watched ‘Snow White‘ (1937) at the cinema. Nothing like a classic to make you appreciate the art of storytelling (and remind you of those dubious attitudes in the 1930s.)

Speaking of tales, I’ve got a fresh outline bubbling for Ravenglass Legends Book 3. Believe me, this one’s shaping up to be a fun series.

In the spirit of branching out, I’ve ventured into the world of Wattpad! Soon, you’ll find snippets, tales, and perhaps a few misadventures from yours truly. If I can work out how to post that is…

Finally, I’ve been reading Fear to Tread from the Horus Heresy series. Space Marines and epic sagas.. sometimes, one needs a dose of galactic grandeur amidst fairytales.

Don’t forget to hit that thumbs up, subscribe, and leave a comment down below! Your feedback’s always gratefully received.

So until next time, cheerio.

Jon’s Author Diary -July 14, 2023

Join me on my journey through the world of epic fantasy as I share updates on my second draft progress, character exploration, and more.

This week, I’m excited to share my journey as I continue to delve deeper into the world of my epic fantasy series, Ravenglass Legends. I’ve made substantial progress on the second draft, with 35,000 words already improved. I can’t wait to share this story with you.
I also wrote the first draft for a short story centreed on Maja, one of the point of view characters in the Ravenglass Legends. Discovering her journey and experiences has been a fascinating process, and I believe it will add a new layer of depth to the whole series.
I also completed another episode of the Guild of Assassins which goes live on Substack on Saturday. If you’ve been following along, you know that this is my ongoing novel series that I’ve been releasing weekly. The story is gaining momentum, and I hope you’re enjoying the ride!
This week wasn’t all about writing, though. I was fortunate enough to have a work experience student helping me out. They’ve been a great asset, creating stunning graphics and engaging videos to help bring my books to life and reach more readers.
But it wasn’t all smooth sailing. I faced some technical challenges with WordPress, where the formatting got lost during the transition from Microsoft Word. It was a bit frustrating, but, on the bright side, I’ve found a workaround. So, stay tuned for more polished blog posts in the future.
Until next time, cheerio.

Jon’s Author Diary – July 7, 2023

This week, Jon balanced writing, web migration, and tax work. A new chapter of “Guild of Assassins” is ready for Substack. His website shifted back to WordPress. Amid tasks, he read “The Outcast Dead” and began “Deliverance Lost.” He plans to return to “Ravenglass Legends” next week.

Welcome back to Jon’s Author Diary for the week ending July 9, 2023.

This week has been filled with a fair mix of creation, organization, and some obligatory tax paperwork.

I’m delighted to announce the completion of another riveting chapter from my ongoing project, Guild of Assassins, which is scheduled to go live on Substack this coming Saturday. You won’t want to miss it!

Much of my time this week was consumed with a digital migration of sorts, moving my website back to WordPress – a task that required plenty of patience and attention to detail. In between the lines of coding and content organization, I tackled my taxes, something I’m sure we can all agree is a thrilling way to spend a week.

Amid all the work, I managed to find some treasured reading time, completing ‘The Outcast Dead’ in the epic Horus Heresy series. With no pause, I’ve already dived into the next book, ‘Deliverance Lost.’ I can’t wait to share my thoughts on these in an upcoming review.

Looking ahead, I’m eager to return to the heart of my craft – writing. Next week, I will be immersing myself back into the world of Ravenglass Legends with the second book, along with the continued work on Guild of Assassins.

Make sure to tune in next week to follow along on my author journey. Like, share, and subscribe if you haven’t already, and let’s continue this writing adventure together.

So, until next time, cheerio.

Book 2 of the Ravenglass Legends is underway. This week, I have made significant strides in developing the narrative arc and the characters. There’s plenty of surprises, mystery, and adventure to come.
