There’s no wrong place to begin in the Ravenglass Universe. But if you want the right one—start here.
The Ravenglass Universe is a thousand-year epic fantasy saga spread across multiple connected series. Wyverns. Lost magic. Brutal empires. Sibling rivalries that ripple across generations. Every series stands on its own, so you can begin anywhere. But new readers often want a recommended door in. This is it.
📘 Start with The Ravenglass Throne
Begin with Book 1: Shattered Kingdom.
The Ravenglass Throne sits at the earliest point in the Universe’s history—the First Kingdom Era, before the Ostreich Empire was an empire at all. That makes it the natural starting point: it sets up everything the rest of the Universe runs on. How wyvern-bonding works. What ravenglass actually does. Who the Ostehild dynasty are. Where the Kingdom of Ostreich came from before it learned to conquer.
It does this through three sisters, each trained in a different discipline—and each opening a different window onto the world:
- Irmin—Commander of the wyvern riders. You’ll learn how the bond between rider and wyvern works through her saddle.
- Elana—Diplomat and courtier. The political shape of Ostreich, and the conspiracies threading through court, run through her.
- Adelinde—Scholar of ravenglass. The black material that gives the Universe its name? She’s the one chasing what it actually is.
It’s also where Witz—the wyvern who threads through every Ravenglass series—first appears in detail. Once you know Witz, you start spotting him everywhere else.

Or Pick Your Own Door
If something below speaks to you more than royal sisters and court intrigue, start there instead. The Universe is built so any series can be your first, and you won’t be lost.
🐺 Ravenglass Legends
Norse-flavoured war epic. Brothers, sisters, and the cost of empire.
The Ostreich Empire crashes against the Wolfsbane clan’s homeland. Fifteen-year-old Ragnar is taken and trained to serve the very people who killed his father. His sister Maja has to survive on the other side and decide whether to spark a rebellion.
Begin with The Fall of Wolfsbane.
🃏 The Ravenglass Chronicles
Tarot-structured 22-book saga. Prophecy, transformation, the price of power.
Princess Kathryn Ostehild—Kat—is chosen by the gods and dragged into a fate that will shake the Empire to its core. Each instalment maps to a card of the Major Arcana, from The Magician to The World. This is the longest, most symbolic arc in the Universe—and the one I wrote first.

🗡 Guild of Assassins
Dark fantasy. Grief, vengeance, and what you become when you cross the line.
Soren was a sculptor’s apprentice. Then they killed his father. The Empire is fracturing, the assassins are rising, and the only way out is through.

Meet Witz
Across centuries. Across kingdoms. Across every Ravenglass series.
A black wyvern with no recorded age, no known origin, and an unsettling habit of being in the room when an empire changes hands. Sometimes adviser. Sometimes manipulator. Sometimes neither. Always present.
If you read across the Universe, you’ll start spotting him. Some readers keep notes. We don’t discourage it.
