Eight new fantasy chapters landed on Patreon this week, across three stories. Here’s where things stand.
Six of Swords – Chapters 15 to 17
Ravenglass Chronicles | Epic fantasy and political intrigue
Empress Kat has outlawed slavery. Changing the law was the easy part. Changing an empire is another matter.
Powerful enemies are resisting her reforms, and every decision carries a price. Three more chapters went up this week, and the pressure on Kat keeps building.
The book takes its title from the Six of Swords tarot card, continuing the sequence that began with Ace of Swords.
The Waywarden – Chapters 6 to 9
A Waywarden Chronicles prequel | Nobledark fantasy and wilderness mystery
A nobleman has vanished on the border between Ostreich and Molotok. Everyone blames an enemy raid. Waywarden Arnwulf isn’t convinced.
With his opinionated wyvern, Varyn, Arnwulf heads into the wilderness after the truth. This week brought four new chapters of tracking, survival and secrets. I talked about starting this one in my September 25 author diary.
Clout Maxxing – Chapter 3
British LitRPG | System apocalypse and dark satire
The apocalypse has arrived, and it runs on attention.
Dave and his teenage son Liam are dealing with monsters, quests and a new currency called Clout. Their goal is simple: reach Wolverhampton alive. The System has other ideas.
New to the genre? Here’s a quick primer on LitRPG. I explained why I’m serialising this one in my October 16 diary.
New to the Ravenglass Universe?
Six of Swords and The Waywarden share a world. Where to Start in the Ravenglass Universe will point you in the right direction, and the Ravenglass Universe World Bible fills in the background. You can see what else I’m working on in the Project Tracker.
New chapters go up every week. See you next Sunday.
